Tension is 75% of the reason why you smoke.
Before contacting me for an appointment for help to stop smoking it is essential that you prove to yourself that you really want to stop smoking and the way to do that is to commence a new behaviour to replace the smoking behaviour. The new behaviour is to eliminate tension from your body and mind, for it is this tension that is responsible for a large percentage of your smoking behaviour.

Once you remove the tension, what is left is habit and habits are easily eliminated with hypnotherapy. When we break the habit we are also breaking down the dependency and addiction to the Nicotine.  Hypnosis is a great way of dealing with habit because this habit is in the subconscious mind and can be eliminated with the use of hypnosis.

When you really want to give up.

Your new regime is a follows: –

  • Practice the Relaxation Exercise at least once per day, not in the evening or just before going to bed.
  • Refrain from smoking 1 hour either side of a meal and this includes morning and afternoon tea, and supper. If you don’t have all these then set a time when you would have them.  For instance, morning teatime is 10am, afternoon tea is 3pm, and supper is 8pm.  In between these times – 1 hour before or after – you can smoke. However at these times you smoke only 1 cigarette.

You will find that your smoking will be drastically reduced and can easily be reduced still further if you extend the non-smoking time to 1¼ hours or 1½ hours either side of a meal.

This means that within a week, or two (at the most) you should be down to less than 10 cigarettes a day.  If you are absolutely serious about stopping smoking you will have only 1 cigarette during the allowable times and therefore your smoking intake will be down to 6 cigarettes per day.

Once you are down to 6 or less per day phone me for a hypnotherapy appointment.

A single session is usually all that is required for you to stop smoking.

You will find that with doing the Relaxation Exercise daily you will be cutting out the tension in your body and mind, and tension is 75% of the reason why you smoke.
